Raimondo Puccinelli (also Raymond Puccinelli) was an American-Italian sculptor. He was born on May 5, 1904 in San Francisco , and died on May 7, 1986 in Florence.
From the age of 14 already trained in evening classes, Puccinelli began his actual studies at the age of 18 years initially under Rudolf Schaefer, then under Galka Scheyer in San Francisco. From 1927 followed various sculptural training in Italy, notably in the famous marble quarries. Simultaneously with his artistic work, Puccinelli also worked for the theater (for example as assistant director to Max Reinhardt for a performance of Karl Gustav Vollmoeller’s ” Das Mirakel “) and occasionally financed his work as a freelance artist through works in the field of furniture and industrial design architecture jobs.
